AI Data Licensing Referral Guide: How to Help Your Clients Get Started

Some of your clients may have an asset they have never considered: years of operational records showing how their teams work.

AI developers license certain company-owned records, including internal email, chat, tickets, and project history. For an owner, the first question is whether their business has records worth evaluating.

If you already advise that owner, you can help them take the first step. Here’s how to identify a potential fit and make a referral through DataLogix AI.

Why bring AI data licensing to your clients?

A useful introduction gives your customer a chance to explore an opportunity without having to understand the entire market first.

DataLogix helps owners assess their readiness and understand what evaluating parties look for. The consultation is an assessment, not a valuation or promise of an offer.

For qualifying customers who choose to proceed, licensing may create value from records their business already produces. They retain ownership and license a copy for a fixed term under their agreement.

For partners, it’s an opportunity to strengthen existing customer relationships without taking on the evaluation themselves. DataLogix guides the process, and partners can receive compensation when a partnership closes.

How to identify a potential referral

Start with an owner you already work with who wants to explore the opportunity. The main program looks for:

  • 30 or more US desk staff whose work creates a written record.
  • At least two years on current operational systems.
  • Work documented across email, chat, tickets, CRM, or projects.
  • Company-owned records, mostly in English.
  • No existing application or licensing evaluation elsewhere.

Client-owned files, privileged material, HR, payroll, and medical records stay out.

These are screening points, not a decision you must make yourself. Review the industries we work with or other programs for smaller teams, closed-company archives, and company-owned code.

Example: an IT provider introduces a business owner

Consider a hypothetical IT provider working with a company that has 40 US desk staff and several years of internal email, chat, and ticket history.

The provider knows the systems are established, but doesn’t know whether the records qualify. With the owner’s permission, they share their DataLogix partner consultation link.

The specialist assesses fit. The provider doesn’t export records, estimate their value, or promise an offer. They give the owner a way to find out more.

How to introduce the opportunity

Keep the conversation simple and transparent:

“Your company’s operational history may be worth evaluating for AI data licensing. I’m a DataLogix AI referral partner and may receive compensation if a partnership closes. Would you like an introduction? The consultation doesn’t commit you to anything, and you don’t need to send me any records.”

After the owner agrees, share your personal consultation link. Use existing relationships only. Cold, bought or scraped lists, mass email, and recruiting subpartners are outside the program.

Common partner questions

How are referral partners paid?

Partners are paid only on partnerships that close, at the rate established in their signed agreement before referrals begin. An introduction alone does not earn payment. Customers pay DataLogix nothing, and partner compensation is not deducted from their payment.

Does the customer retain ownership?

Yes. The company retains ownership and licenses a copy for a fixed term under its agreement. Its attorney reviews the agreement before signing.

Do partners collect customer records?

No. Never collect records, exports, passwords, or credentials. Records move only after the reviewed agreement, directly from the customer’s IT team to the evaluating party. Neither you nor DataLogix receives them. Visit our data licensing FAQ for details.

Can accountants, attorneys, and consultants join?

The program welcomes established owner-facing professionals, including accountants, IT providers, consultants, attorneys, and brokers. Partners must follow their profession’s referral and disclosure rules.
